Description
Hempel Light Primer is a high-quality 2-component epoxy primer. This High Build Primer prevents and restores osmosis formation in polyester boats and also protects against general corrosion.
Light Primer is suitable for polyester boats, steel, aluminum and laminated wood. You can use the epoxy primer for both above and below the waterline.

Processing Hempel Primer
Hempel Light Primer is easy to process with a brush, roller, syringe or paint cushion. The minimum processing temperature is 5 ° C. Avoid working in direct sunlight.
Always make sure that the surface is sanded, clean, free of grease and dry before applying the Hempel primer.
Stir the content well before applying it.
Apply the Hempel Primer.
Uncoat surface (under the waterline) - Treat porous surfaces for a first layer, diluted with thinner 845 (max. 20%). Then apply 3-5 layers to obtain the entire layer thickness. If necessary, add Verdunner to support the application (max. 5%).
Uncoat surface (above the waterline) - treat porous surfaces for with a first layer, diluted with thinner 845 (max. 20%). Then apply 2 layers of primer. If necessary, add Verdunner to support the application (max. 5%).
Previously coated surface - shed, clean and dry the surface and apply 1 layer of primer. If necessary, add Verdunner to support the application (max. 5%).
After about 4 hours (at 20 ° C) the primer is hand dry and can be painted over.
You can now easily apply Hempel Underwater Primer or a Hempel Antifouling of your choice.
Also for new boats in combination with Hempel Silic One.
