Because the main unit of the IC-M400BB can be placed elsewhere, this model is perfect for modern yachts and smaller helms. Operation is via the HM-195B Commandmic, which features a clear LCD display and a familiar interface. Despite its compact size, this VHF radio delivers a full transmission power of 25 Watts, ensuring a wide range on open water.
Safety at Sea with DSC and GPS
Safety is a priority for Icom. This VHF radio is equipped with a built-in Class D DSC receiver, allowing you to send a distress call with your exact location in emergencies. With the included external GPS antenna, the system always has accurate position data. Additionally, the device is fully prepared for the Dutch and Belgian inland waters with the mandatory ATIS functionality.
Advanced Audio Features
The IC-M400BB uses active noise cancellation. This technology filters background noise by up to 90 percent, ensuring your voice comes through clearly to the receiver, even in strong winds or engine noise. With the built-in 10 Watt amplifier, you can also connect the system to an external speaker for use as a public address system or fog signal.
